Jephthae (Hebrews 11:32) or Jephthah the Gileadite (Judges Eleven and Twelve) is an Old Testament type of Christ.
He was cast out from his family. (Judges 11:2; John 1:11)
He was accused of being born in sin (Judges 11:1-2; John 8:41; 9:24-25)
Like Joseph who had a different mother than ten of his brothers (Genesis 35:21-26), he was a rejected Saviour (Judges 11:2; John 1:11) that was accepted the second time. (Judges 11:7; Acts 7:13)
He was a Judge [Title] (Judges 12:7; Acts 17:31; Romans 2:16; Revelation 11:9)
He was a captain (Judges 11:6, 11; Hebrews 2:10)
He was a deliverer (Judges 3:9, 15; Judges 11:9, 30; Romans 11:26; Psalm 18:2)
He was filled with the Spirit of the Lord (Judges 11:9; John 3:34)
