Is Thine Eye Evil?
Posted on 26 July, 2013 at 0:00 |
“God didn’t give me as big or fancy or wealthy or popular of a ministry as brother or sister So-n-so…” Is that what you are thinking? Is that your complaint, dear Christian worker? Hear is God’s reply…
Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? “Is thine eye evil, because I am good?” (Matthew 20:15b)
Did I get your attention, yet? Have these words sunk in? Do you need to go back and read them again? Before you do, this time add the sentence before it. Also, remember, the “me” in the text is a reference to the “man”–Jehovah God who hired “labourers” to work in HIS vineyard. (Matthew 20:1)…
“Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?” (Matthew 20:15)
As we ponder these words, dear brothers and sisters, let’s remember, wherever the Householder today has placed you in His glorious Kingdom and whatever He has asked you to do is up to Him. Keep in mind, no matter how wretched their lives, a thankful person would be happy to be included in the nooks and crannies of His glorious Kingdom, to be used by Him as He pleases.
“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalms 34:8
