Slow. Slow It Down a Little

Even though, dear Christian, you ARE in a race (I Corinthians 9:24) to get to the finish line of God's will for your life—and you are to run that race till it (your life) is over—remember in your daily activity that, according to the wiseth man on earth, "under the sun...the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all." (Ecclesiastes 9:11) So, even though in one sense you are in a race, in another sense you are not.

Once you submit yourself to time and chance "under the sun," do what you can for the Lord Jesus Christ. Prioritize. Remember to pace yourself and be consistent. Do what you are supposed to do, today. God will take care of the rest, tomorrow.
