Cleaning Service
Posted on 18 November, 2018 at 15:30 |
The next time someone asks you what you do? Tell them that you're “...in a cleaning service.”
When they ask you, “What you clean...?" Tell them that you “don't clean anything.” Your “Boss does all the cleaning.”
At that point, they might ask... “Your boss does all the work, and you still get a paycheck...?”
Then you reply, “Well, yeah. I'm a representative of the company, but I don't take a salary.”
Finally, out of frustration they will ask you, “What in the world are you talking about...?
Then you can answer, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
“...You see... Two thousand years ago God sent his son into the world to do this world a SERVICE. He sent Jesus down to clean up the mess that Adam and Eve got us in since the beginning of time. "Christ died for our sins." That's where the service for us was done. On the cross. His blood was shed and taken up to Heaven where it was put on the mercy seat, never to be repeated.
They might say, “Well then, are you telling me that you don't sin anymore, since you are (as you say) 'cleaned up'...?”
Then you answer... “No, no. That's the second part of the service. When I got cleaned inside, my soul got saved, and my spirit became ALIVE! ...But, my flesh is another story. Unfortunately, I still sin.
When Jesus arose from the grave, the Bible says that He went to Heaven and became our High Priest, “who everliveth to make intercession for us....” When I sin, I confess them to Jesus, and I'll never see them again. I was clean the day I got saved, and he cleans me daily, when I confess and turn from my sins.
“Now that I answered all your questions, wouldn't YOU like to be clean, like me...?”
