Deliverance

As I was thinking about Noah's flood, I was reminded that Jesus—a type of the Ark [having three decks: representing the Trinity and only one way or door (John Ten) to safety, representing Christ (John 14:6)] was the only way in and OUT of the ark. And, as I thought about the safety that, against the torrents of the wrath of God, the people AND the animals experienced inside, I thought to myself that the ark was also a picture of the Millennium—where the lion and lamb will lay down together, when the curse (Genesis Three) is lifted.
If Jesus, in type, is the Ark of God, then there is safety, from God’s wrath, to all who enter.
The Ark, itself, was never the bottom line. Leaving (the Ark) was. Remember, it brought Noah’s family THROUGH great judgment UNTO great deliverance.
Salvation was never the bottom line, in itself. What it produced was. Salvation, by the new birth, produced “…many sons unto glory…” (Hebrews 2:10), who today are groaning and travailing in birth to be delivered from their fallen bodies “…into the glorious liberty of the Children of God.” (Romans 8: 18-27)
And, finally, the (local) church is not an end to itself (I Corinthians 6:4 and I Timothy 3:15 for example). It is the only God ordained organization on earth that will help deliver a Christian, who participates in it, from this present evil world.
