Since it was “…the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week..." (Matthew 28:1-6), if Jesus was entombed, as he prophesied (Matthew 12:40), for three full days and three full nights (equaling twenty-four hours for each full day - John 11:9), He had to be resurrected already by the time Sunday morning rolled around.
And, since the Jewish Calendar always starts at night (Genesis 1:5) to equal three full days and nights (Jonah 1:17) He would have had to be entombed by six P.M. Wednesday night.
Six P.M. Saturday minus one equals six P.M. Friday evening. Friday evening minus one equals six P.M.Thursday evening. And, six P.M. Thursday evening minus one equals six P.M. Wednesday evening, right after the crucifiction and right before the special sabbath (Leviticus 23) began (John 19:31).
