Mythology...

These days, people choose to believe what they want to believe on about any and every subject. Just pick one, and see how many different views you come up with from an array of people who are all gleaning from a variety of sources. No two are alike. In these last days, final authority from the Holy Bible on what to believe has all but disappeared, while falsehood, on the other hand, has greatly gained ground. That being said, can Bible-believing Christians who do have a final authority still find answers inside the Bible, even to seemingly hard questions? Of course they can. All that needs to be done is study these things out by gathering the information that God Himself has provided. The subject before us in this article is Leviathan. What did God mean, in the Bible, when He penned the word "Leviathan?" Was He referring to a dinosaur or maybe a fictional being, like a dragon? No one in their right mind would think that He meant a real red fire-breathing dragon, would they? I believe, if one looks hard enough inside God's word and believes what they read, there are plenty of scriptures on this subject that will shed light on an answer which is not only up for consideration, but is also up for the taking as well. Leviathan is not a fictional being nor some kind of animal that can be traced back thousands of years to the days of Job. I submit that Leviathan is a supernatural being—a counterfeit of God the Father—one third of the satanic trinity found in Revelation 20:10.

Seven Heads...

"And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven...." Revelation 12:3-4

Fire...

"Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth." Job 41:19-21

Water...

"Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. He maketh the deep [water between the second heaven and the throne of God; Revelation 4:6] to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment. He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary [grayish-white]." Job 40:23; 41:32

"In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent [Revelation 20:2]; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea." Isaiah 27:1

"And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth." Revelation 12:15-16

Pride...

"His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride." Job 41:15, 34

"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed : and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying , Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear . He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." Revelation 13:1-11

I know, I know; Leviathan is really a dinosaur that Noah took aboard the Ark in Genesis Seven and Eight. I guess I was mistaken. Or, was I?
